Just applied on target computers and got interviewed...but...?

I just recently (a week ago) applied on the target computers and went through my first and second interview. It has been a week and I havent gotten a call or anything. Should I contact the store? Should I just wait, or should I go to the store and ask if my application has been processed? I'm a little new to the whole system so, I don't know how this works.

My friend just had an interview at target and they offered her the job on the spot. That might just be a thing for this store though. You should ALWAYS call to follow up on an interview. I would usually only give it a few day. You should definitely call and just say: "I applied for a job and had a couple interviews, I was just wondering if the position had been filled."

P.S.

Target drug tests...you have 24 hours after hired to take it....in case you needed to know that.

Every HR manual advises to follow up on interviews. It shows genuine interest. It also helps in the event they misplaced your tel# or application.
I've done a lot of interviews where they say they'll call me in a day or two and let me know, and they'll never call back. Then, there's jobs where they interview but they don't decide to hire til 3 weeks later.

Is there a way to sync two computers so that the contents of a specific folder are identical?

I have a "Music" folder on my desktop and laptop. Sometimes I'm on the road and I borrow a CD and add it to my library. Then maybe at home I add a few CDs to my desktop library. Now I want to sync the music folders on both computers so that I have all the music on one computer. Is this possible and how?

Mark the folder as shared, right click on it and you sohuld have sharing info there. you may have to move the folder to your my documents folder. From the other computer you can go to my network and you sould be able to browse the opposite computers shared folders. This is all assuming of course that you have a network setup.

if they are both the same system, you can network them or get a cross over cable and use the network wizard. or put everything on an external drive, an any computer can get the data.

Dataviz Documents to Go Synchronization with Multiple Computers?

I'm trying to use Dataviz's Documents to Go to keep my Excel/Word/etc. files synchronized between multiple computers, but it is not working for me, so I'm wondering what I 'm doing wrong. I've looked on the web and at Dataviz's website, but can't solve it.

I set up my home computer's files to synch with my Palm Treo through Docs to Go, and it works fine. I then put Docs to Go on my laptop, and tried to sync with the Treo. It seems to sync, but when I look into it I'm having several problems:

- I have the files in subdirectories under my C:\ drive, not in the My Documents area. However, Docs to Go keeps trying to put the sync'd files back under My Documents, and doesn't update the ones under the C:\ drive

- when I make file changes, it doesn't seem to keep all the files the same (between the desktop, laptop, and Palm)

Can I use c:\ subdirectories? Can I make changes on any one of the machines and sync to all the rest? Docs to Go talks about "file translation"- what is that?

I would move the files into the directory Docs To Go syncs with. That should resolve your probelm. Isn't it a great program? I use it with the Palm Tungsten C and the Palm Life Drive.

You may also want to look for the latest upgrade to your program:

How do I do a RE-INSTALLATION of my computers OPERATING SYSTEM?

I was told that I have a VIRUS and that it would be best for me to reinstall my computers OPERATING SYSTEM. But before doing so I needed to backup my files. I dont have the money to buy a Flash Drive, which is what they suggested that I buy but I DO NOT want to lose any of the info that I currently have on my computer (downloaded programs, pics, saved E-Mails, music etc.) My computer knowledge is next to nothing and I honestly have no idea where the hell to start!! Does anyone have any suggestions? Please dont be afraid to give lots of details!!

Your options:

1. If you have a secondary drive (e.g. D), then you can transfer all your important data to that drive. When a computer is formatted, only the drive containing the operating system is emptied (usually C).

2. If you have a CD/DVD burner, any kind of external hard drive, you can backup your data there.

3. Use tools like Mozy.com to make backups online.

Hope that helped.
Do you have a CD/DVD burner? If so, you can back up your files that way.
If you have a CD/DVD Burner, it will help. If you have only one drive in your system, Then you need to back everything into Cd/DVDs or else, if you have secondary drives on your system, you can back it up to your other drives. For example the c: drive is the OS drive. if you have d: or e: you can backup your data to that drive alone and reinstall the OS on the C: drive alone. You need to format the c: drive and re-install the OS.
well, since you don't have much money, get a friend who has like an 80 gig ipod and put all you're info onto their ipod. Since you don't have the money for a flash drive, ask someone who may have like an external cd/dvd burner... a dvd burner would be better because it holds close to 4.7 gigs of info... only thing is since you have a windows vista, your computer should have it's own personal dvd cd burner. so get some discs and start burning everything you want saved. once you have everything saved, your computer should come with a re-installation cd for new computers only... that cd will bring your computer back to it's factory settings.. put the cd in the cd drive and restart your computer, once it restarts it'll check all the drives and it'll continue with the cd installation. Just follow the directions and make sure you do a full format instead of a quick one. Everything after that you should be able to follow directions.
its quite an easy process... but if you dont know...

install a good anti virus... scan them and remove them

and run sysytem mechanic thrice a week....

or else write your data on dvd..

dhruv
if you have a cd burner or dvd burner, try burning your data on that.

as for you emails, open up a yahoo, hotmail etc... and forward

you're e-mails to that.

Is he addicted to computers?

my brother is addicted to computers I think he plays it for at least 2-3 hours every day and stays up until 6.30 in the morning on the weekends to play it. And even when he goes on the internet he is just looking up new games for the xbox?

Is he addicted to computers?agv

Sounds like he's also addicted to X-box, make sure you try to convince him that what he's doing isn't healthy and that he should join playing on sports teams for the reason that they could take him a lot farther then playing games for the rest of his life.

Is he addicted to computers?antivirus software

its his life let him ruin it

he seems very addicted
yes he is hooked no question bout it
yep him %26 every other teenager these days it seems. Try to get him outdoors or sign him up for hockey or lacrosse or something to get him physically active
I was like that when i was akid cause i had no friends so all i did was sit at the compter for 3 or more hours and play games and chat
My brother is addicted also. The games are built that way. I don't think that is an addiction to the "computer" though. Most often it is also their socializing tool. If he plays online with other gamers you will find that that has become his social circle and in order to be with his "friends" he must be logged onto his game. How much time do you spend with your friends, on the phone and in person? Compare this to the time your brother is online with his friends. My brother doesn't have friends in our town, but he socializes with residents of Australia, Germany, Canada and many others. He has received proposals of marriage over his games. They are a very tight group and the upside is they don't meddle in your day to day affairs. "Friends with benefits" for unsociable types so to speak!!
2-3 hours is nothing at least he aint out getting in trouble!!

kids cant win these days!
oh yeah, sports teams are real helpful (sarcasm)

Maybe someday he'll be a computer game designer, or just a computer programmer. I don't think that thats a problem. It's better than spending that time watching TV.

There's nothing wrong spending time doing what you like. Addiction only happens when a habit causes problems. Is he failing school because of it?

Losing all of his money, etc?
2-3 hours is nothing, most kids are on theirs for 5 or 6.

Do kids need technology (computers) in the classroom to perform at higher levels?

Can computers make kids better students?

Yes, several classes are based off of computers, and if you don't know how to use computers, you won't be able to do homework in the library.

Do kids need technology (computers) in the classroom to perform at higher levels?antivirus

Computers used as tools or learning aids with educational programmes and revision sites such as BBC Bitesize and SAMLearning do make a difference to grades. If the child merely plays games this will have a negative effect as time otherwise spent in revision and research is wasted.
yes they can learn computer skills that might turn out as their career
Depends on the subject, of course. No computer is going to make a student run faster or sing in tune. However, when students are given the opportunity to type assignments they typically score higher. This is often due to the fact that typed work appears neater than handwritten work. Also, many students are more likely to text their friends or leave them messages on the Internet than to handwrite them a note or a letter. As a result, some kids feel more comfortable expressing themselves with a keyboard instead of a pencil. And don't forget spellcheck. It's the dictionary of the new millenium.
It really depends on what you are talking about.

I have a few computers i need to pawn, is it worth it?

They aren't bad computers at all, but I need the cash kinda fast, or "I'm a dead man". What do you guys think?

I have a few computers i need to pawn, is it worth it?anti virus scan

You know it really depends on what kind of computers you are talking about. How old are they? How much memory do they have? What kind of condition are they in? You can get from $50 to $500 for a used computer depending on these factors. I would say if you have no need for the computers and there is no confidential information on them (and they are not stolen) then go ahead and sell them, the money is worth more than the paperweight.

I have a few computers i need to pawn, is it worth it?ariel

Hang a notice in the streets.
ebay
Sell it on craigslist, people on there is always buying worthless crap. Just ask my brother.
cant hurt to call pawn shops and ask but I doubt they will give you much for them. You have to remember that you can buy a brand new PC for little more than a couple hundred dollars. At that price why buy a pawned one when you can buy a brand new one that is probably faster than the pawned one.

But like I said the best one that could answer that is the actual pawn broker. Call a couple of them in your area and see what they say.

Good Luck.
depends on how old they are, but most likely you won't get enough to make it worth it.
loan sharks?
You won't get much pawning a PC. If you buy a PC for $1500 and try to pawn it 6 months later you will probably get $300 for it then the pawn shop you sold it to will sell it for around $600.

Even if you sell the PC to someone you know or a person and not a pawn-mart you will be lucky to get any more then 300 etc the only reason the pawn-mart can perhaps get more then you if because hundreds and hundreds of people will walk past it and someone will get suckered.
go ahead pawn them
