Are dell computers good?

i have a good feeling about them and want to order one fro their website

are there computers good?

do they have a good helpline ??? (as i know theyre only on the internet - are they good if you have problems with computer?)

The computers are good but the after sales service leaves a lot to be desired. It won't matter how much extra cover you buy because if there's a fault with it they will tell you that you've got the wrong cover. Delivery times can take a long, long time and you'd do yourself a huge favour if you bought one from a shop for example Currys. Better to go somewhere where you can deal with a real person and not someone behind a computer.

My Dell is fine - can't answer for their help-line/after-sales service becasue I've never needed them.

My next (will need two soon) will probably be a Dell, maybe a laptop.
my dell went wrong and when i phoned them with the fault within my years warranty and my two year extended warranty as well i explained my probs and they said it was to do with my hardware, they said they would not help me out as "i was not covered by the type of warranty"
