Do You Know Young Adults Who Do Not Like Computers & Internet?

This question is for the UNDER 30 crowd here in Answers. Do any of you know any of your peer group who really don't like computers, the internet and electronic technology? I know two young women, one age 22 and the other 24 who don't own computers of their own (they can afford them!) and shun technology. They are not in some weird anti-technology cults or anything. They grew up in an age where computers were in their classrooms. I find this so very strange. I am old enough to be their mom and I've had computers attatched to the outside world since the days of dial-up text only Compuserv. One of these girls sees computers as only work related drudges and the other sees no point in them for personal use. Her husband is a DVD producer.

I think these girls are doing themselves a disservice by not accepting computers as a part of life - both on and off the job. What do you "kids" think of this mindset in some people your age?

From a "kid's" point of view, I think that not only are they doing themselves a disservice, they're being a little ignorant. Computers are a chunk of technology that we (as people, not "kids") are getting more and more dependent on. Later on, in the future, maybe the near future, where everyone is heavily dependent on these computers, then those girls are going to be clueless and be shunned from the entire community that uses technology.
