Wireless Netorking Between 3 Computers?

OK. So, in our house we have 3 computers. 1, which is downstairs witht he router, this one, which is connected t the router via wireless PCI card, and a third one which is not connected. Now, what I want to do is connect the 3rd pc with the router without having to connect cables on two different floors or having to buy a wireless adapter. What I tried to do was enable sharing between this computer and the 3rd one but that didnt seem to work. Does anyon know of anyway i can sort of recieve the internet connection from my router then 'bounce-it-off' to the 3rd computer? Thanks.

You have to have a wire, a wireless PCI card or in some manner the third PC has to be Wi-Fi enabled. Their has to be something in the computer that will receive the signal that is being transmitted from the wireless router. I understand that you don't want another wireless PCI card but if you change your mind I got one on eBay for less than 10 dollars.

Unless you have dial up internet you don't ever need internet connection sharing. In the case that you do have dial up you will need the computer with the modem, turned on all the time.

With dsl or cable internet you can go directly to the wan port on the router form the cable or dsl modem. That way no computer on the network depends on another.
