Where to donate/dump computer monitors / old computers?

I'm north-east of Dallas and I'm looking to dump and/or donate old computer monitors, computers, scanners, zip drives, old television sets, etc. I know that it's certainly not environmentally conscience to simply dump these into the city dump, and most of them still work.

Is there a good place in Plano/Richardson/McKinney/Frisco to donate these parts? Also, I have a large television that is over 20 years old, not sure if it still works. Is there a service that would come get it from my house?

Any thrift store such as Salvation Army or Goodwill will take them off your hands, and pick them up. Or call a women's or children's shelter, maybe they would like to have them for the clients to use for homework help or job searches. Don't forget to get a donation receipt.
