Unable to connect multiple computers to my router?

I am trying to link 3 computers to a DSL line (SBC Yahoo) and am unable to achieve more than one active internet connection. I installed the DSL software on each computer which may be my problem. Each computer shows an active LAN connection. The modem is a Speedstream 5100. The router is BEFSR41 Linksys. Any suggestions?

Most times the DSL software isnt even needed...they just want you to install their programs.

Windows should recognize the connection.

Are you sure you have a NIC card in all three computers

And yes each computer should show an active LAN connection

Also check ur connections on the router...do you have them all connected right?

hope that helps

For each PC on your network. Open your browser, click Tools, Internet Options, Connections tab. Click Lan Settings. Make sure the only box thats checked is Automatically Detect Settings. Click on Advanced Tab and click Restore Defaults.

Next go to your desktop, right click Network Neighborhood or Network Places. Click Properties, Right Click the Local Area Connection then properties. Scroll down to your TCP/IP Internet Protocol. Click to highlight then click Properties. Make sure Obtain IP Address Automatically is checked and Obtain DNS Server Address Automatically is checked. Nothing else should be checked. Shut off your modem and router and power down the PC's. Restart your modem and router then restart your computers. That should do ya.
If they're all connected via an RJ45 cable (ethernet), then it should just work.

If you're connecting them via WiFi, make sure there's a WiFi card in all of the systems first, and then go in and check the WEP settings for your router (http://192.168.1.1)
