make my internet slower/ raise ping/ increase latency. i play online games.

and if it does, if i turn one computer off would that disable its connection? how would i do it?

Unless you're doing a lot of file sharing or downloading a movie or a large number of files, it should have no observable difference. The wireless router runs at 54 mbps, the Ethernet runs (probably) at 100 mbps, but your Internet connection runs at less than 10 mbps.

No, one router is fine. If you're having trouble with slow speed, etc., then it's the computers problem, not the router's.
