Right, I have to computers, my laptop and my desktop. At the momment I have a 'Jamie' account on both computers, and both the computers are on a wired network. What I want to know is; can I make it so I only have one 'Jamie' account on both the computers? And can I have one account that can be accessed on the both computers, through a wired network?
Thanks, Jamie.

Actually, the answer is "yes, but not without spending a fair amount of money for a server."
There are two kinds of accounts in Windows: standalone and domain. Most accounts are standalone (settings stored on the local machine). If you have a server on your network running as a domain controller (only available with Windows Server) and your desktop and laptop are running Windows 2000 Pro, XP Pro or the right version of Vista, you can create a user account on the domain controller and log in from your desk/laptop using that.
However, this is expensive and requires knowledge of how to configure a domain controller in order to get it to work. Best bet is just to create your "Jamie" account on both machines with the same password.

No, separate machines, separate accounts and they can still have the same password if you choose to make resource access between machines a lot easier.
