Can I download/install my WindowsXP updates to 2 other XP computers on my LAN that don't have I

My main computer (a Dell desktop running XP w/sp2) has 2 NIC's: a 'Belkin Wireless G Desktop Card' that connects to the Internet via a 'D-Link WBR-1310 Router'/Cable modem, and a 3Com 3C918 wired to the other 2 computers (an IBM Thinkpad laptop and a SMAC personal file server, both running XP w/sp2) via a 'Cisco 5-Port Workgroup Switch'.

I have tried to install either/both MS ICS and MS built-in XP Bridging services (to no avail), in every possible s/w configuration imaginable, and I give up!

Anyway, the only thing I realy want/need is for the other 2 computers' XP software to be kept up to date; I thought if there was some way to copy the downloaded/installed updates from my main computer to the fileserver %26 laptop that would be a work-around for now.

P.S. No problems connecting to AutoUpdate on main computer. All three computers communicate/share files freely on the LAN. There are 2 other computers upstairs that also connect to the WBR-1310.

Thanks much in advance-John.

If the computers aren't on the internet there's not much in the updates that will apply to them - almost all updates are security-related.

If you connect the other computers directly to the d-Limk, and get rid of all the other gear (except your modem), they should connect to the internet with no problem.

(If you have to use the switch, connect the router to a computer port on the switch - the router is looking for a computer, not a switch input.)
