My mother is always critizing the youth of today that they are always using the computers. I am a 21 year old student, and I have a sister of 13. We both have our own computers, but I control myself more than my sister who gets online non stop. But when I sit next to her she immediatly starts to complain about computers, and the internet that is the worst thing that has ever happened that eve she knew she wouldt have any computers in the house.
I am not doing anything wrong, and if I use it is because I need it, but I am so sick of being with her cause all she does is complain and complain.
She needs to get over the fact that everybody uses the internet now, and she is left behind.

It sounds like she needs some kind of a hobby to get off your case! Maybe even a friend she has her own age that knows how to use the computer could get her interested, and then she wouldnt complain about it anymore. If she doesnt understand computers, then she fears them. I bet she would really like to know how to use one, but would never come right out and ask. Find out what her interests are, and then tell her how much more the computer could tell her about all shes interested in! All the fasinating web sites she could look up!

Show her how computers benefit you as a student and how it also can help people communicate across the world and how families can use them to keep in touch and even see each other %26 hear each other with them.
You might also advise her to limit her other daughters time on it and how to keep track of what she is doing online.
Mothers always have their opinions and share them openly...even when they are not wanted.
Perhaps your Mother doesn't understand how to use them and instead of embarrassing herself, she acts as if she doesn't approve of them. If she really felt that way, she would not allow them in her house!
