I'm so lost in this subject. I've bought a router, but i gave up at the instruction manual... so confusing. What exactly must i do to get internet on my other computer. if i must use a router.. how exactly do i go about doing it and is there an easy way.. all i want is to just get internet on both computers... so frustrating...? Does anybody know of a real good brand that is also easy to understand when installing?

(Sorry - couldn't resist) ... anyway .. all you need to do is connect both pc's to the router. Install the software that come with the router to BOTH pc's.

The way the connections should go is:

Modem ==%26gt; Router ==%26gt; Computers

That is, the router will go between your existing modem and the two computers.

Is it a wireless router and you're trying to connect wirelessly to each computer or hardwire? Each computer needs to have a network adaptor. Your first computer obviously has one. Does your second? Is it wireless or wired (where you plug in a network cable)?
