Megabytes means a million bytes (its not exactly that, but thats how we read it). and a Gigabytes is really a Billion Bytes or 100 Megabytes.

Back in the day most computers only had 8 or so megabytes. But now everything is in Gigabytes. The more GB you get the better of you are.

Mb and GB is an amount of space in something. A gb(gigabyte) is bigger then a mb(megabyte) so if you have gb its better. there is 1000 mb in a gb
Those suggest how much space you got. but in RAM, The higher it is the faster a computer is, ex its normally 512mb, but it goes higher than 2GB which is veryy fast! In a hard disk, it suggest how much space you can save in it, normally is about 100 GB or more. Right click on a file andpress properties to see its capacity.

- One kilobyte, kB, of storage is 1024 bytes (not 1000).

- One megabyte, MB, is 1024^2 or 1,048,576 bytes.

- One gigabyte, GB, is 1024^3 or 1,073,741,824 bytes.

- One terabyte, TB, is 1024^4 or 1,099,511,627,776 bytes.
1000 B = 1 KB

1000 KB = 1 MB

1000 MB = 1 GB

1000 GB = 1 TB

and so on.

MB or GB are used for measuring the storage space of a hard drive (for programs and files) and the "temporary" space of memory (current work space). Basically the larger the better. But don't be fooled, 512MB is half as much as 1GB.
