I'm buying a new deskdop and I'm wondering which is a good, reliable brand. I don't want really expensive, but I'll pay more for a good computer. I'm thinking DELL, are they good computers?

Id say a Mac but you dont want expensive. Dell are a good brand, reliable and also their online deals are very cheap.
i used Dell throughout college and they were great.
Cheapest option is to get one from a local computer shop who can add stuff to it for you and give you a good deal - or build your own, if youre brave!
Go with Dell.

NOOOOOO, do not get a dell....Generally their prices are fine but they build their computer's in such a way that if you ever need to replace something because it doesn't work or you ever want to upgrade something instead of buying a whole new computer you can't do it...
Check out HP for better products and gateway has actually had some very good deals recently...If your anywhere near the northern illinois/ southern wisconsin area send me a message...there are ton's of good private builders up here that will build a better computer than dell or HP etc for less money too.
