I get an error message that I cannot upgrade my yahoo pages because my computer is not set up for the upgrade. These two computers are identical and should be set up the ssame

I am experienced in computers but do not have the certs, etc and want to get a college degree in it. Which degree is best...the computer science degree from the science department or the Information Technology degree from the business department? I currently have an Accounting degree and would be finished with the IT degree much faster than the Computer Science degree but my goal is to go with the degree that is most respected.

A Computer Science degree is better in my eyes. I know some really great people with a Computer Science degree working with Microsoft. If your looking for the most respected, then don't you think that the longer you're there, the more you learn and the more you know and can help out whatever business you intend on working for? I would definitely go for a Computer Science degree.
i'm going to have a debate in class on the motion above. well, my group is in the proposition, we support the motion. i know nothing about debate and i need your help to what are the important points i should brought up pertaining the motion that help me to argue that computers do bring more unhapiness? what points should i use to argue the opposition? or to substantiate my points that computers do bring more unhappiness? i'm pretty stuck here. thank you
You can speak about online gambling addictions, addiction to porn, internet addiction, social withdraw (associating online rather than going out into the real world). You could talk about the damage caused to your eyes, also tunnel vision, bad posture, carpal tunnel syndrome, all of which will lead to unhappy health outcomes. Also online predators, how the internet allows for anonymous stalking and harassment of others.
I`m not sure I agree with the statement.
But, some arguements could be:
People get more isolated, loose contact with real life people.
Most people need this contact to live.
People sitting behind the computer too long deprive friends and family of their presence, and therefore cause unhappiness with them.
General communication skills deteriorate (just see some of the spelling on the Internet to know i`m right) and can therefore lead to more misunderstandings, arguements and thus unhappiness.
Mind you, these are my personal thoughts, and have not been scientifically proven. (except the spelling, but anyone can do that)
i need a website that can help me. what i am doing is taking apart two computers cause one of them is new but its power thing is screwed up but i have an older computer that is works but it is on windows '98 so im trying to take everything out and put in the new computer and use it in the old one with the old power thing. can i please get a website that will help me do this
Why not just pull the bad power supply out of the new computer and put the power supply from the old computer in place of it?
If the old p.s. is less than 350 watts, I would just buy a new power supply and put it in the computer.
Before you pull out the bad p.s., note where all the wires from it connect to the motherboard and components, then simply hook up the good power supply in the same manner. Most of the connectors are keyed. The only tricky one is the connection to the floppy drive [if you have one], be very careful to note how it is connected. If you reverse the connection [which is possible] you can ruin either the floppy drive or the mobo connector.
I would not do this. I would buy a new power supply for your new computer. You can get a new power supply at www.newegg.com. If you are unsure of how to change a power supply, you should take your new power supply and your new computer to a computer place that will change it for you. Don't spend more than 100 bucks on a power supply. I would suggest the 25-50 dollar category available at the link below.
Re the question about Huckabee destroying computers after his term as governor: Google "Huckabee destroys computers". FYI obtained by Arkansas Democrat Gazette reads: "Huckabee Left Computers, Fund Gutted" - January 19, 2007, NW Arkansas Edition. It is a legitimate concern to me - they were not just erased but destroyed and I find it bothersome. Not accusatory - only curious.
It is a concern to me. I live in ARkansas and I have learned not to trust huckabee. He is mean and spiteful, and I believe that he had the hard drives destroyed because there was incriminating information on them. He is too slick and too sincere while lying for me to trust. I hope people will look past his "good old boy" exterior and see what a dishonest, soft on illegals, soft on crime, supporter of increased taxes, pro government intrusion candidate he is.
Tax Hike Mike Huckabee is the worst candidate after Giuliani and Romney! My vote is going to Ron Paul, to me he seems to be the only honest candidate left. Huckabee destroyed his computers after he left the govenor's mansion and his children scare me! I find it rather STRANGE that Romney became a full fledged pro-lifer just a few months ago....and Giuliani is just crazy and he has no common sense, only the heart to fight terrorists....nothing else other than 9/11 which I don't see a connection between Iraq and 9/11! I personally feel there are more terrorists in other countries such as Iran and Pakistan! Hell we don't even have an identified enemy nor an exit strategy and we are nation building. Bush promised us that he wouldn't do these things and then he goes and does them to one of the least non-terrorist countries!!!! I am tired of the republican party, which use to stand on a libertarian platform, continue to do just the opposite! Many republicans to me are just as bad as the democrats!
Sometimes when I play video games on my laptop and computer, they lag. I don't run any other programs and I don't have any viruses. I have all the requirements to play the game and I disable my firewall. There's more than enough free space on each computer and I haven't downloaded anything lately and I have DSL which isn't as good as RoadRunner, but it's fast enough.
Another time, neither of my computers lag, but when I play against my cousin, it gets so laggy, that we both turned invisble in the game. Everything's been fine for the past 2 months. Do I need to port-forward my router or get better internet?
So if playing the games locally, it doesn't lag, but the online play does, it has something to do with the Internet connection.
Are you using a wireless connection on the notebook to connect to your router? If so, try switching it to a direct wired connection.
I've seen performance gains from that alone.
If wireless, you might have been picking up interference from other wireless networks, or devices.
Broadband is usually faster. Look into it.

Do you mean lag as in choppy movements, and slow cursor movements?
Or do you mean long delays between results whenever you perform an action?
If the first, then you probably need some better hardware.
If the second, then you probably need some better internet. If you have a program that sucks up your bandwidth (like torrents), then exit it.
Perhaps defragment your computer occasionally.
